Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Hark, a native desktop email and calendar client (macOS today; Windows and Linux planned) published by Souplin Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company("we", "us"). By installing or using Hark, you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Hark on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

Your Google data

Hark connects directly from your device to Google and stores your mail, calendar, contacts, and access tokens locally — we operate no backend that receives or stores them. How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's own terms.

Subscriptions & billing

Hark is free to use while it is in beta. If a paid subscription is introduced, billing will be handled by Stripe through a billing account that is separate from your Google account — you create it with an email address of your choosing, and the Macs you use Hark on are linked to it (up to five; your account page lists them and can remove the Mac whose Hark opened it). The price, renewal cadence, and refund terms will be presented to you at purchase and apply only if you choose to subscribe.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Hark only for lawful purposes and not to misuse the app or the Google APIs it accesses on your behalf.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Hark is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Souplin Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be noted in-app or on the website.
